I love this track. It is the epitome of my writing within the JMC collection.
Many moons ago, Soul Drive done an album called Contained with a track entitled Cold Emotions. The lyric never appeared in the song. I was out doing a gig for the Sonny B. Walker Blues Connection. When I arrived at the gig, which is the Cambridge in Crystal Palace (one of the worst pub's in London), there was some old dance music playing (I'm A Dreamer) and this cast my memory back to our recordings in Reading. I wrote the lyrics for the song in text on my mobile. I had no chorus line. For some reason the words Those Cold Emotions seemed to slot right in. The riff had been lying around as a video on my phone. Now there was a chorus and Those Cold Emotions came to life.
