The Black Hand (Conclusion?)

from The Dec(k) by Justin McConville

/

about

I'd been thinking about the black hand again. When I joined the Kids I went to visit Ronnie Thomas in Brighton with the rest of the band at his flat there. We were aving a discussion about song writing and he said to me " 'ere I got this lyric I can't do anything with" he said " My hands are black, I'm a man who's troubled. The sins of my father have almost doubled." Almost blew my mind because it not only tied a lot of the ideas I was having for this song, it was an uncanny, sublime moment lyrically in context to some of the stuff I have already written.
